It is required to have a bachelor's degree for small museums but for most it will require a master's degree in appropriate museum specialty such as art, history, or archaeology. Some employers require a doctoral degree in natural history or science museums. To make sure you're able to stay competitive with other people, you should earn two graduate degrees in museum studies. Two schools in Wisconsin that you're able to get this type of education is UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee.
